One out of Two

Work this last week has been absolutely insane: 14 hour days, late nights, early mornings, and not enough down time resulted in me calling it in for Saturday. I took the morning to sleep in and recover while my friends walked and explored downtown San Diego. I'm sorry to have missed to day, but I'm glad I took the time to sleep and recover a little.

Sunday we were back to it in Dana Point with a new walk that took us all over the city and up and down so many hills and stairs.

It seems like most of our time was spent along the harbor today. There was some great dog watching available, and the tiny Christmas sweaters were out in full force. At some point we passed so many stations for the docks that had the same ice machine and washers, while seeing the same worried chihuahua over and over, that it started to feel like we were trapped in a loop.

Everyone was tired today. My friends put in more miles than they needed to yesterday and I was feeling it after a week being pretty sedentary at work. After stopping for coffee and snacks we had a little bit of a hard time getting going again, but we made it to our 10 mile goal with smiles on our faces ready to go home, shower, and flop onto the couch to recover.

I did exactly that, then logged into my fitbit account to discover that all of my data has been erased, and we all know that your steps don't count if your apps don't show them. It's a good thing we're doing it again next weekend.
